Wiki Page: Felicity Smoak
Canon: Arrow
Entry Point From Canon: Post season 4
Media Type: TV Show

Powers/Abilities/Skills: abilities

Heroic/Villainous/Neutral: Felicity would fall into the heroic category, not because she is necessarily physically strong, but she has a pure heart. Felicity is the heart and soul of team Arrow. As per canon, Felicity has fallen to temptation in the past. In college, she hacked in a not so legal way. Felicity is the type of person that learns from her past mistakes and persevere. No matter what life throws at Felicity, she never stays down to long. She is more of a mental fighter than a physical one, but she is always there to bolster the courage and resolve of the heroes around her. Felicity's hope and heart are her greatest weapons and are what makes her heroic.

I have no plans to change the way the Felicity reacts to situations. She will always think the best of people no matter what. Felicity will always believe that everything will turn out fine, because good wins. Her world view is not jaded, but she just believes the best in people until she is proven wrong.

Mentor/Journeyman/Rookie: Felicity, I think, would fall into the journeyman category. She wouldn't be a rookie because she has been working with both Team Arrow and Team Flash she has been shot twice, paralyzed, held hostage more times than she can count and went toe to toe with a nuke and survived. She wouldn't consider herself a mentor, even though she tends to be the person that her teams turn to when they need a boost, but because she doesn't have a superpower. She is the strength when others are weak, the glue that holds everyone together. Felicity knows her role within the team, and she thrives on it.

Which Area(s) Of The City Interest You For Your Character? Felicity will flourish in the City of Tomorrow because she is the CEO of a technology company. She will find wonder and joy in each new thing that she finds. Felicity is not the type of character to dwell on the bad, choosing instead to focus on the good. She will enjoy all the cities, taking secret joy in the City of Romance, to remind her of a potentially bright future. Felicity also will also spend quite a lot of time in the City of Adventure and Sorcery because it will remind her of working with Team Arrow in the good days. Felicity is always looking to understand the new and innovative way technology also works she likes to mash seemingly unlike things together. She will find a way to use aspects of each city together.

It would be awesome if it could change color to match her mood.

History and Personality: History

If you looked up the word nerd in the dictionary, you would most likely find a picture of Felicity Smoak. She takes the term nerd and takes it to a crazy awesome sexy level. Felicity is a very put together woman on the surface. She dressed to the nine's, and hair is not usually out of place (unless of course there is a building falling around her).

She is a bit socially awkward, which may or may the understatement of the century. It seems like she reserves her social faux pau's for ridiculously hot men, like Oliver Queen, Ray Palmer, or Barry Allen, or woman in positions of authority like Moira Queen. Her babble is the way she deals with nerves and highly stressful situations, and it more often than not has a sexual connotation. Most people that know the blonde well know how to redirect her with a look, or a roll of their eyes. Please don't let the babble fool you, however, she knows how to speak her mind when she needs to and is not afraid of standing up for what Felicity believes in, even if it is the mighty Moira Queen, especially if Felicity knows she is right.

Felicity is excellent at using her nervous, awkward little habit to calm the team down when tensions rise too high. She thought that the ground should swallow her up, but it focuses the team and shows them that she is an asset, far greater than she believes.

In fact, she is Team Arrow's real trump card. She comes off as unassuming, weak and useable, but she is the exact opposite. She is the ace in the hole. The babbling, flighty way she has of talking allows people to let their guards down and lets her get close enough to take you down. A prime example is Slade Wilson, who underestimated her resourcefulness. She let him get close enough to her so she could give him the cure allowing Oliver to level the playing field.

She has got more going for her than just her good looks and brains. She is the heart of Team Arrow, and it's moral compass. It is a role that Felicity takes very seriously. She is kind, compassionate, and has a huge heart. She is full of trust but doesn't give it away blindly. She is strong enough to trust you but also go toe to toe with you if she needs to. Oliver in some way must have been able to tell that, because he let her in on his secret, going to Felicity when he got shot. Felicity was the missing ingredient in Team Arrow, bring her empathic nature and quick wits to the team filling in their missing puzzle piece.

Felicity isn't some naive girl either; she knows all about the harsh realities of life. Despite that, however, she has still kept her gentle nature, which is why she was hesitant to join team arrow to begin with. She did not approve of the Hood's harsher methods of interrogation. She has said on more than one occasion that she doesn't like sharp pointy things, and they shouldn't be stuck in people just because the answers given weren't the expected ones.

She handles herself well in high-risk situations. She is adept at going undercover, having infiltrated a casino, Merlyn Global as a delivery girl, and she drew out the Dollmaker. That wasn't one of her most ingenious plans since she got hurt, but she got the job done. Her method of warfare is more mental than physical; she only can handle about five sit-ups in the morning honestly.

She is the genius of the group, make no mistake about that. She is ambitious and a tough worker. She is not one to let something go until she figures out what makes it tick so to speak, determined to do whatever she sets her mind to. She does not want to end up like her mother, so that is always in the back of her mind pushing her forward.

Felicity is patient, indulgent and willing to let things ride out, especially when it comes to Oliver Queen. She doesn't question anything that he asks of her, trusting him to do the right thing. That is a strength, but also a weakness when it comes to her relationship with Oliver. That trust in Oliver is what eventually allows him to break her heart into a million pieces.

Felicity is a strong woman, never one to back down, which is why she jumped at the change to do super secret vigilante work in the first place. She loves a good mystery and Oliver a way for her to prove she could be more than an IT girl on the 15th floor. She grew in her time working with team Arrow and was able to give herself some perspective, and stand up to Oliver leading to their broken engagement.

She may be highly intelligent, and self-motivated, but Felicity also harbors insecurities and an inferiority complex, especially when it comes to Laurel and Sara Lance. Sara could do things that Felicity could only dream about, or have nightmares about depending on your point of view. When she came into the fold, Felicity began to feel insignificant, and it lead her to be somewhat daring, and brave. She saved a life, by throwing her body into the line of fire. She was proud that she got shot. She is and will always be her toughest critic, and she is very hard on herself when she fails at something.

Third Person/Prose: Felicity Smoak was more at home behind her computers then she was anywhere else in the world. It didn’t matter if was her tablet at home or in the arrow cave behind a wall of monitors that she lovingly restored. Felicity was much better at dealing with binary code than human emotion it seemed. It wasn’t that she was particularly bad at dealing with her emotions, unlike two certain men that she had a habit of dealing with on a regular basis.

Felicity was a smart woman, but working with Oliver and the team had hardened her to a certain degree. She supposed that she should feel grateful that she still felt horrible guilt when bad things happened to good people. She could hold onto that, but it totally sucked that she couldn’t even look Rory in the eye for months and when she did the first thing out of her mouth as that she had killed his family. Way to go genius! It wasn’t like he didn’t have enough on his plate dealing with Oliver.

She rubbed a hand down her face. She had weathered a broken heart, which she honestly thought that she would not come back from. Oliver had been her whole world, but getting shot had taught her that she was a strong enough woman in her own right. She chose to stay because it was the right thing to do, and his cause, their cause, was still something that she believed in, but suddenly that all changed. She had no warning at all when she felt her entire world spin off its axis.

She was kneeling beside her now dead boyfriend wondering two things… well more than that but the two that were most prevalent were did she have a hand in this by not being honest? The second thing was that she knew that she needed a change and she needed it fast.

She looked up, standing slowly as the man cleared his throat. She stepped towards him and had hope that things might be okay.

History:

Felicity Smoak

Does your character have any close ties to existing canon characters? (Canon OCs and AUs only.)

She has canonmates, but nothing conflicting.

Why do you think your character would work in this setting?

Felicity accepted Eli's offer, because her boyfriend had died at the hands of the Green Arrow. Sometimes life has a way of kicking her in the teeth and this was the straw that broke her resolve to stay and fight. As for her staying? She has pretty much lost everything that she loved back home in one way or another. She is looking at New Dodge as an opportunity for a fresh start.

How do you plan to expand their CR?

Felicity is a pretty open and welcoming character, even at her current canon point. She always works better with people around her, and is not afraid to reach out to people. She has been here before, and even though she is returning without her memories, people here will know her, so she will reach out as well.

What will your character do for work? Well. she is an expert hacker, and worked with Harry before. I was hoping that she could work with Harry again.

Your character must have a job in New Dodge if they are over the age of 13.

What items is your character bringing with them into the game? a tablet, an ipod with music, the interdimension communicator (That won't work) that Cisco gave her, a picture of team Arrow old and new, a picture of her and her mom, and a photo album of her days at MIT.

Dear Oliver.
You know somehow, I could never understand why everyone called you Ollie. You don’t strike me as an Ollie, but I didn’t know you before Lian Yu. You have always been Oliver to me, even as the Green Arrow, in my head you were always Oliver. You were a man who possessed more strength and courage in your pinkie than I did in my entire body. You were a kind and gentle man even though you had every reason not to. You put the needs of others in front of your own, despite my telling you not to.

You are also the stupidest, most stubborn man I know Oliver Queen. You use lies and deceit in the name of protection and expect that everything will work out in your favor. The hardest thing I ever had to do was walk away from you, and not because you have bedroom eye and abs of steel.

Ignore that last line would you please?

I thought somehow that you were my perfect. You know your perfect mate that just gets you? They do exist you know. Anyway, over the last year, I’ve realized that you aren’t my perfect, because if you were you would have known not to lie to me. Somehow, I lost who I was when we were together.
I never intended to leave you Oliver, but I realized that there is such a thing as the straw that broke the camel’s back. My relationship with Billy wasn’t perfect either, because it was one based on half-truths. That is no way to live your life, Oliver. I want you to know that I don’t blame you for what happened, and that is not the reason I’ve left. You were a pawn just like I was, so stop him please.
I realized something though, we are never going to be able to find our perfect together, so that is why I am leave. Do me a favor, will you? Find someone you don’t have to tell half-truths to, and DO NOT LIE TO HER. I want you to find your happy ending Oliver, know that I’m okay and finding mine too.

Yours,
Felicity

Gender: Female
Sexuality: Hetrosexual
Species: Human
Fandom: Arrow

Canon Point:4x15- Just as she is walking away from Oliver

Appearance: Felicity is blonde, but not that blonde. In actuality, she comes from a goth phase. She had long dark hair and severe makeup. That was the old Felicity, the new Felicity is a perky blonde, who more often than not can be found with her hair up in her signature ponytail, high heels, and a brightly colored fashion forward dress. That would be considered work attire, but it is the style of dress she is most comfortable in.
History:We don't know that much about Felicity Smoak, until the second season of Arrow, but before that Felicity was a take charge and scene-stealing character. Oliver trusts Felicity from the get-go, as evidenced by the fact that he keeps going to her over and over again. His excuses lack imagination, Felicity saw right through them but helped him because that is just the way she is.

Felicity was born in Vegas to Noah Cutler and Donna Smoak, a cocktail waitress who worked sixty hours in six-inch heels making tips be able to take care of her precious daughter. Felicity didn't want to end up like her mother, so instead she turned into a Goth hacktivist at MIT. That worked for a little while until her then boyfriend decided to jump the shark and delete all of the student loans on campus. Felicity tried to stop him, but failed, and after he had confessed he killed himself rather than go to jail. It was then that Felicity changed her image and was bound and determined to be new and improved. She got a job at Queen Consolidated, in their IT department, working with Robert and then eventually Oliver.

Oliver Queen is the type of man that woman easily fall for, and Felicity was no exception as if her life wasn't complicated enough. Falling in love with her playboy boss was not on her to do list. She followed him to hell and back, helped him forge a road from being a Vigilante to being an honest to God hero. Despite Oliver's stubborn nature, she hangs in there and stands at his side.

It seemed that everything was coming together for Felicity. Oliver, who she had been in love with since the day he walked into her office, had asked her out. Of course, nothing could be that simple, and their night job interfered with her personal life, causing Oliver to push her away for her good. She turned to Ray Palmer, who treated her like a queen and made her Vice President of Palmer Technologies. She was tired of Oliver always deciding he knew what was best for her, which seemed to be a running theme, so she pushed him away, choosing to be with Ray. There was just one problem with that, and that was the fact that she was still in love with Oliver. She followed him to Nanda Parbat, in an attempt to save him, but in the end, she lost him, but not before confessing her love and sleeping with him. In the end, it turned out to be some elaborate plan concocted by Oliver to defeat Ra’s; she ended up saving him, though, courtesy of Ray’s Atom suit. Oliver chose her, and they left Star City, happy.

They returned months later, actually together, or so Felicity thought. She didn’t know that Oliver was keeping a huge secret from her…. he had a son. Felicity could, however, tell that something was off, and she gave him multiple chances to “come clean” as they fought Damien Dahrk. She ran Palmer Tech, which she renamed Smoak Technologies, with efficacy. Darhk, wanting to get back at Oliver, took shots at them after they got engaged, almost fatally wounding the IT girl. As it was, the bullet took away the use of her legs. Oliver stuck with her through all of that, her friends both in Star and Central City made accommodations for her disability. She recovered the best she could, focusing on making Curtis’ inventions a success and even taking one of them into her body, in the hopes that she would be able to walk down the aisle.

That is precisely when her life derailed, because she found out Oliver’s big secret, and deciding she had enough of the so-called protection that Oliver offered. She decided that he didn’t know how to let her in, so she gave back his mother’s engagement ring and walked away from him. That is where we find her coming into the Warehouse. She is broken but walking thanks to Curtis’ device.

I'm sure there is some snappy comeback right? This is some elaborate plan, and I am going to blink, and Oliver will be sitting by the bed, and the last few months will have been a dream.

I wish. There should be something I can do to fix this mess he made right? That's the problem though isn't it. He's so self-confident that he thinks he is infallible to everything bad that happens.

Felicity didn't really know what you were supposed to wear when meeting your boyfriend's dead father. Was that even a thing? So she chose something comfortable, but her. She left her hair down because she knew that touching her hair, or touching any part of Felicity helped to calm Oliver down.

She had been understandable wary when she first heard about what Q had planned to do, but since she had no father worth mentioning, well she did, but she wasn't going to think about him now. The closest thing she had to a father was Quinten Lance, but she didn't think Oliver would appreciate a sudden appearence by him, so she kept quiet.

She stepped onto the Holodeck, holding Oliver's hand in her own, making sure that he could feel the arrow tattoo that she had on the inside of her wrist.

"You're sure? I mean you totally don't have to do this."
